Egypt Goes Digital: Atfal Masr Digital Initiative Takes Off

Under the Sponsorship of EG Bank and the Ministry of Social Solidarity, we proudly announce that Atfal Masr Foundation has launched the first phase of Atfal Masr Digital Initiative in partnership with Apex Coding Academy as an educational partner.

Atfal Masr Digital Initiative is an ambitious new initiative to equip the country’s youth with the digital skills needed to succeed in the 21st century. It will provide children with the opportunity to learn programming and artificial intelligence, empowering them to become the tech innovators of tomorrow. It includes obtaining theoretical and practical content on digital technology and programming for 1,000 students from 10 governorates across Egypt, aged 8 to 18 years, over 3 consecutive months, divided into 3 different programs according to the age group for each stage. The initiative includes children from the governorates of: “Giza – Alexandria – Port Said – Damietta – Beni Suef – Assiut – Sohag – Red Sea – Luxor – Aswan,” in addition to equipping a laboratory in Assiut Governorate with environmentally friendly materials and several computers for use during the educational program.

 

During the ceremony, which hosted by EG Bank, in the presence of the Atfal Masr Foundation team, Apex Coding Academy, the educational partner of the initiative, and some of the program trainers certified by the Stem Org Foundation, Nelly Mahmoud, Head of the Marketing, Youth Services and Financial Inclusion Sector, announced that “EG Bank” aims to contribute in building the skills and capabilities of young Egyptian generations by adopting and learning the foundations of innovation and technology.

   

Mr. Abdel Rahim, Executive Director of Atfal Masr Foundation, also gave a speech in which he spoke about the objectives of the initiative and its role in empowering children and providing them with the necessary skills to keep pace with technological developments. Eng. Nihad Al-Adly, Executive Director of Apex Coding Academy, also gave a speech in which she spoke about the academy’s role in the initiative through the preparation of educational curricula and the establishment of partnerships with institutions that have computer laboratories and have the same interest in supporting and educating children, she also spoke about the process of the initiative’s progress during its first phase.
